On 23 September we took part in the stop of the institutional tour dedicated to presenting the territory's Area Strategy

A Strategy built together with the territory

Lattanzio KIBS continues its work in support of the implementation of Regione Lombardia's Inner Areas Strategies under the 2021-2027 programming cycle. The institutional "Lombardia Autentica" tour reached Valchiavenna for the presentation of the Area Strategy "Pathways of Welcome and Resilience," attended by the President of Regione Lombardia, Attilio Fontana, and the Regional Councillor for Local Authorities and Mountain Areas, Massimo Sertori. For the 12 municipalities of the Valchiavenna Inner Area, the Region is deploying 17 projects for a total of €14.16 million, combining ERDF, ESF+, regional and local co-financing resources.

As with previous stops, Lattanzio KIBS supports Regione Lombardia's Directorate General for Local Authorities in the implementation, monitoring and governance of the Strategy: day-to-day work that ensures allocated resources translate into concrete results, in line with the development priorities agreed with local authorities.

Three projects, three faces of the Strategy

The visit touched on three symbolic places of the territory. At the Cappuccini complex in Chiavenna, the energy requalification project for the building was presented, funded with €700,000, strengthening the cultural and social role of the former convent, now a cultural hub. At the Torbiera di Mottala, in Campodolcino, an investment of €365,000 protects local biodiversity through accessible walkways and informational trails. At the Sanctuary of San Guglielmo, in San Giacomo Filippo, a €1.925 million project enhances the natural heritage with a new geo-naturalistic trail along the Liro stream.

It is in this transition - from strategic vision to implemented action - that the added value of consultancy comes into play, placing specialised expertise at the service of social cohesion and the fight against depopulation, in a Valchiavenna that aims to remain liveable, accessible and attractive for those who live there.
