A concrete presence across the new stages of the institutional tour bringing €14 million in investment to the region's most fragile territories

A plan to leave no territory behind

The "Lombardia Autentica" tour, promoted by President Attilio Fontana and Regional Councillor for Local Authorities and Mountain Areas Massimo Sertori, continues its journey through Lombardy's inner areas. Following the initial stages, Lattanzio KIBS provided technical and operational support across the most recent dates: 18 March 2026 in Valtrompia and Valsabbia-Alto Garda, 8 April in the Lombard Apennines-Alto Oltrepò Pavese, 22 April in the Valli del Verbano and Piambello, and 7 May in Valcamonica. This last stage was attended not only by President Fontana and Councillor Sertori, but also by Simona Tironi, Councillor for Education, Training and Employment, and Giorgio Maione, Councillor for the Environment and Climate - reflecting the cross-cutting, integrated approach with which the Region addresses the challenges facing mountain communities.

These events form the institutional framework of the Counter-Exodus Agenda: a co-design process with local territories aimed at tackling depopulation and driving the socio-economic revitalisation of Lombardy's most vulnerable areas. This process is backed by tangible resources: a total of €14 million allocated to 33 interventions under the Territorial Strategy for the Regeneration and Restructuring of Inner Areas.

Expertise at the service of territories: from strategy to concrete impact

These events are the tangible result of the day-to-day work Lattanzio KIBS carries out in support of the Directorate General for Local Authorities of Regione Lombardia - a partnership spanning implementation activities, monitoring, and the governance of Inner Area Strategies, with the goal of ensuring that allocated resources are deployed effectively and in line with the development priorities agreed upon with local authorities.

The most recent stages have brought to light several strategic priorities emerging from the co-design process: strengthening healthcare and social services in Valtrompia and Valsabbia, creating employment opportunities for young people in the Lombard Apennines, and fostering sustainable tourism and technology innovation hubs in the Valli del Verbano and Piambello. As President Fontana and Councillor Sertori have emphasised: "Targeted investments in local territories are a strategic lever for balanced development and for strengthening cohesion and competitiveness across the entire Region."
